Jerry Oster doesn’t think I look any different than usual. I wasn’t trying to dress up as anything - just trying to be a little scarier than usual. What do you think? Did I get more scary than every other day? Happy Halloween ~ erin

Here we are (I am the Panda - like I always got to be until I finally grew out of it) doing our regular trick-or-treating showing off our great costumes to the grandparents! These would be my Great Grandparents (my Dad’s Mom’s parents). I am not sure what Jill is (she is in the polka dots) Adam - I think was a sports fan (stil little for Halloween) and Kyle is a scarecrow!

I finally ditch the panda outfit… Adam is Twoface, I am a scary witch, Jill is a princess, Kyle the Riddler!

Now I am the first born and agree with this survey! This is a picture of me and my siblings from a few years ago!
From Left to Right: Erin (23), Jill (20), Adam (18), Kyle (22)

Your birth order might be able to determine your career. (From Careerbuilder.com):
Firstborn:
- Personality: Firstborns are ambitious, assertive, dominant and disciplined compared with their younger siblings. They’re determined to succeed yet fearful of losing position and rank, and are defensive about errors and mistakes, Dattner says.
- Compensation: A recent survey by CareerBuilder.com found that workers who were the firstborn child in their families were more likely to earn $100,000 or more annually compared with their siblings.
- Professions: The oldest tend to pursue vocations that require higher education, like medicine, engineering or law. Ohio State University researchers found firstborn children were more likely to pursue “intellectual” jobs.
Middle:
- Personality: Middle children are good at negotiation, peacemaking and compromise, Dattner says. They are easygoing and diplomatic and are usually closer to friends than family.
- Compensation: More middle children identified themselves as earning $35,000 or less per year than firstborn or youngest children, according to the CareerBuilder.com survey.
- Professions: Middles tend to have excellent negotiating and people skills — anything that employs these skills is a great fit.
Youngest:
- Personality: Youngest children love the limelight and are used to sitting in it. They are charming and creative, have a good sense of humor and manipulate others when they want to get their way.
- Compensation: Last borns were the least likely to report earning six figures, according to the CareerBuilder.com survey.
- Professions: Youngest children often gravitate toward artistic and outdoor jobs, according to the OSU survey. They’re also successful in journalism, advertising, sales and athletics.
Only children:
- Personality: Only children are similar to firstborns in that they are motivated to conform to parental expectations, Dattner says. They are also achievement-oriented and successful in school and have problems delegating work. Research shows they are more confident, articulate and imaginative than other children. They also hate criticism and tend to be perfectionists.
Twins
- Personality: Because of their equal status in terms of their age — and, if they’re identical, their genes — twins are usually treated the same and turn out similarly. They tend to have different personalities and interests, but are closer to each other than other siblings and tend to have less conflict with each other than other siblings.

Our Drivetime challenge today:
Matt’s suggestion: When you get home with your child, ask them if they know how much their coat cost. See if they really understand what the coat is worth. Then ask if they know how long you had to work in order to buy that coat for them.
I want to know how this little experiment went! Did your children understand? Did you think they would know but ended up being way off? How do you teach your children the value of a dollar? I would like to know as how my parents taugh me worked pretty well, but I know when I get kids I will need all the advice I can get! Leave me a comment below.

I have been the lucky one to get to travel with the Northland Ford F-150 this year AND my travels have already taken me quite a few places. I thought I would keep track on my handy-dandy map…and when I started stickin’ in the tacks…I realize that I am well liked in the North Central part of Nebraska and the South Central part of South Dakota - that or no one else here at the station likes anyone out there! I will take the ‘I am liked’ theory.
I will keep updating this map as the season goes. So far this is where I’ve been:
9/23/08 Highmore, SD - Pioneer Garage
9/26/08 Menno, SD - Menno Band Day
10/9/08 Valentine, NE - Valentine Livestock Auction
10/17/08 O’Neill, NE - Kracl Irrigation
10/20/08 Martin, SD - Martin Livestock Auction
10/21/08 Ainsworth, NE - Ainsworth Feed Yards
10/23/08 Presho, SD - Presho Livestock Auction
10/24/08 Winner, SD - Winner Livestock Auction

Here is what the text says:
So we got to talking about fast food places during Drivetime on Monday….and McDonald’s is apparently the worst place in the entire world for many listeners. I haven’t really ever had issues with them. Sure I get a messed up order now and then, but over all they fix them right away and all is well. Once listener called up to say they (the burger assemblers) should be given a dinner plate and a hockey puck to practice with when trying to get the burger acutally on the bun. I thought this was just hillarious becuase I do usually have issues with burgers sliding off the bun as well. So the story continues when I have the biggest hankerin’ for a big mac (becuase we just kept talking about McyD’s) and go grab one over my lunch break on Tuesday. It was a busy day, so I brought the burger back to eat at my desk! And sure enough… when I open up the box my burner is half on the bun AND the part you don’t see is the cheese is half off the bun on the other side! So there was absolutly no hope in getting this burger stacked up right. What could I do except carefully shovel in the lopsided burger!
