Christmas Present Idea

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Hi,

A friend of mine is selling throws again this year for Christmas and I thought I would share this wonderful finding. You know what they are, the thingy that you throw on your bed to keep you warm. I only have the one attached sample (below) to show you right now but there are many more.

They are $63.00 each —-  I know it sounds expensive, but they are really good quality and hold up very well. I’m getting 2 — one for my bed and one for my sofa.

Have a look, and let me know if you are interested.  Orders are due by
next weekend!

Family Photos

We have taken some really awful family photos and some really strange ones as well - but I can admit that my family is just as much about the attention as I am (and it doesn’t hurt that we are all pretty cute) so family photos are ususally lots of fun! BUT usually never the traditional family photos. This may be the last time we get to be just us 6 as a family…the baby is off to college now - and before you know it one of us has got to be getting married which will forever change our family of just us 6. I can say it is sad in a way - but then again - I can hardly wait to start my family of 6 or 10 or why not go for the baker’s dozen! All I know is that I hope my family can be just as much fun as the ones I was blessed with growing up with! Love you all and I am Thankful for you everyday - Glenn, Michelle, Kyle, Jill & Adam! Love ~ Erin

Dodge Charger

Here is the ‘71 Dodge Charger that turns me on! It’s got a 440 magnum and roars like a beast. I’ve seen it move at more than 145 miles per hour AND I would have to say the guy that owns it is just as easy on the eyes as the car (although I did crop him out of the picutre)!

He did let me ride on it once or twice while I was the Czech Queen to go through parades - could I feel the engine roar from up there!!!

Lost Ladybug Project

ladybug

From the Argus Leader

South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service scientists, along with those from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, want citizen scientists to contribute with cameras and telephones to a project called The Lost Ladybug Project.

Individuals and families can help by recording lady beetles they see with digital cameras, or by collecting live specimens. The project seeks to find out why certain species, like the nine-spotted lady beetle, have gone from common to extremely rare over the last 20 years.

More information about the project, including images of various rare species found, is available at this link: http://hosts.cce.cornell.edu/ladybeetles. Information about the South Dakota portion of the project is available http://plantsci.sdstate.edu/ent/entpubs/Lost_ladybug_project.htm.

VOTE!

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

vote

I know that my 23 years have nothing on many of you and my wisdom is few and far between, BUT I know how important it is to VOTE! Many people have given the ultimate sacrifice so that I may live in a free nation with the choice as to who runs it! I also know that it may not seem that each individual vote counts becuase of the way the electoral college works, but even if my vote may not have a big impact nationally - locally I can be the one that matters. With local elections there is no electoral college to ‘lump’ our votes - so make an effort to make your voice heard. Everyday that I am heard on the radio means nothing compared to the silent action I take to make my voice heard. Make your voice heard where it counts! VOTE!!! ~ e
