I may have been gone on the tractor tour a few days - but the progress continues as we try to beat calves and planting. No babies yet - so full steam ahead on the house. We have electricians, plumbers, HVAC, insulators & texturing all lined up and/or there already!

I had to leave yesterday as I was pretty sure I was annoying Nathan with all the changes to the lights. These lights on that switch - those lights on this switch - add two there - three here…ok I will just leave! Thanks Fisher Electric for putting up with me!!!

We also decided that it was time to remove the big piece of the rock wall to get out picture window in. The last of the windows for now - we will eventually have to replace all the windows in the rock. Maybe next year!

We saw some old stuff AND some REALLY OLD stuff (above) hehe!

We have already gotten through day one of the Tractor Tour and the group seems to agree that we get a BIG thumbs up for the first day! I really have quite a delightful group traveling with me this time around! Everyone is so friendly and really easy going! We started at Farmall-Land USA (highly reccomend this stop) then traveled to the Amana Colonies for a family style supper! We are staying at the Best Western in Coralville - which has a medieval theme - very interesting!

In just 32 days - my husband has accomplished so much! My father-in-law is of course helping and they are getting assistance from Heckenlaible Construction out of Menno, SD - but even with all those hands - this house seems to be moving at lightning speed! (At least until calving starts which is immediatly followed by planting)

I am not sure I ever believed in fortune cookies…. until Saturday - when on a 50/50 chance my husband and I got these fortunes! They were right on - though I would like to argue that I do work hard!

It is a happy, happy day! We made another big step in our home improvement as we committed to a kitchen design and put the deposit down on our custom cabinets! I also cleaned out my savings to pay for appliances!

I wanted to celebrate today…seeing that it Chuck Norris’ birthday - so I wore my Chuck Norris shirt!

A great way to let out any anger… though for some reason neither my husband nor my brother would allow me to swing the hammer! They said I have too much rage…
