Friday was a rough day on the farm - especially for this little girl. She was brought into the world in the snow and didn’t look like she was going to make it. Katie & I rubbed her dry - then Jon & I sat with her for 3 hours to make sure she would pull through.

Happy to report - she made it through - and is back with her mama!!! I have named her Hope….cause all she needed was a little hope and a little help!

No new pictures to post….as I took pictures yesterday instead of working on the house. I even squeezed in a little cat nap…which I am still feeling a bit guilty about!

It all seems to blurr together… but 53 days and we have this:

Finally - I got to contribute….and I have the bruise to prove it…along with the blisters and awfully sore hands! I gripped that hammer so hard my hands just ache….but I wasn’t going to have it go slipping out of my hands and through that new picture window we have!

We are going to leave this rock exposed! Anyone know how to ‘tuck point’ (is that what it is called?) a rock wall? A new challege I am to attack maybe this weekend if possible!

Also - my front door is being painted… it looks so awsome already!

As we wrapped up our Mystery Tour… we spent the last day at the Sugar Clay Winery near Thurman, IA. A beautiful day on the patio listening to live music, eating lunch & enjoying the sangria!

…becoming less of a Mystery every stop we make! Dee and I both get flush when we drink and we are looking sunburnt already! Jowler Creek makes 7 different wines and lets you try them ALL! Of course we had to try each one - wouldn’t want to make one feel left out!

We spent some time resting in our hotel room - until I got the call - one of the ladies who bought a bottle of wine from Jowler Creek (which has real corks not screw top) couldn’t get into her wine! I gave everyone my phone number in case they needed anything - and apparently opening their wine falls under ANYTHING! Dee tried first but my muscle accomplished the task in no time!
