Last week I introduced you to our Maid of Honor…this week how about our Best Man:

Name: Christopher James Schuch ( I was wrong! Not Stanley - James… and he goes by Chris)
Occupation: Mechanic God (he fixes almost anything)
Location: Tyndall, SD
Details: I went to school with Chris - grade school through high school. We got along then - but didn’t hang out as much as Jon and Chris did. Their fathers both farm and so they spent quite a bit of time together helping each other out. Chris still helps us out on the farm - as the chief baler operator when Jon needs a break or is busy with other farm duties. I have gotten to know Chris even better now and are so excited to have him stand up for us!

I think I have disclosed all of the basic information about the wedding - so how about I introduce you to some of the honored guests starting with my Maid of Honor!

Wedding Title: Maid of Honor
Name: Jill Michelle Tycz
Occupation: Student at Black Hills State
Location: Belle Fourche, SD
Details: Jill is studying to do something with dirt - or at least that was what I understood of the whole process! Last I know, she was trying to get a job this summer with fish - a hatchery - out in the hills. She is my only sister and is just 3 years behind me (21 years old). She has for the past 21 years gotten to celebrate her birthday first…as it is the day before mine! We yelled at each a lot growing up and I hated that she would steal my clothes! We get along better now and I am honored that she agreed to stand up for Jon and me.

Isn’t she pretty? Everyone says we look alike - what do you think?

It is wedding wednesday and some people are wondering what the lucky man who stole my heart looks like! Well, he is not all about me sharing - BUT he doesn’t visit my blog…so as long and you don’t tell him I share these photos I won’t get in trouble! He is quite Shy compared to me! This is Jon - my betrothed - in a few of our engagement pictures:

Today…I will divulge our menu! And the best part is Grandma Tycz and I are making all the salads & my uncle Kevin is preparing all the meat! So it may be a little stressful…but it will be homemade and will save me money!

ON THE MENU:

Pork Loin & Roast Beef Sandwiches
Potato Salad & Noodle Salad
Cake (from the Tyndall Bakery)
Punch & Coffee

It is not an extravagant menu…but we hope to fill people up enough to party the rest of the night!

What else is there to tell you about the upcoming nuptuals? I guess I can include that fact that we will be having a polka band playing at our social hour! A staple of Czech Days just 2 weeks after our wedding - so it is special that they will all come together early to help Jon and me celebrate our special day! My Dad plays the drums in the band - but my brothers (who also play drums) have volunteered to sit in a few numbers so I can have my father-daughter dance!

This is my sister Jill, our Maid of Honor, dancing in front of the Polka Band at Czech Days. Don’t worry - do one will be require to be in costume!

Now all we need to do is find the perfect polka for Jon and my first dance! Any suggestions?

Today I will share with your the Bridesmaid dresses! Cannot get the picture to save…but if you follow the link these are our bridesmaid dresses! They will NOT be in pink or have the gloves! The girls will be wearing these dresses in Green (with straps added later) and the black sash! I think they will look really sharp! They will also carry orange Gerbera daisies!

My computer was sick (and still is) so I am a little late with my Wedding Wednesday update! This week we are talking flowers and there is only one flower to talk about: Gerbera Daisies! They are my absolute favorite and in ORANGE is the best of their colors. So this is pretty much how my flowers will look and my bridesmaids will carry a similar version with less flowers.

So this week’s task was for Jon to choose his tux and his groomsmen’s tuxes! It took us nearly two hours until we finally came to the agreement on this tux:

I know what you think…I was against it too at first BUT we are not using all of this tux! We are going to take the bow tie and vest from this tux and combine them with this tux for Jon:

And this tux for the groomsmen:

And then my Godson (Mr. Marshall) will be in something like this:

I LOVE Full dress with tails and Jon HAD to have them - so very exciting! He also had to have the bow tie - which is what created the mess…but he have it figured out now and just so you know Sandra Rose in Tyndall is AWSOME to do all of that for us! More next Wednesday! ~erin

If you haven’t heard I am FINALLY getting married! And I have decided to share some of the details here on my blog! It is a lot of work to plan a traditional wedding with lots of COSTS! I don’t want to annoy you with my plans - so on Wednesday I will share a few things until the day comes! Above is the look for the invitations with our monogram and colors!

Lime Green (the color of Jon’s 1971 Dodge Charger - that he completely restored), Oliver Orange (One of the colors for Jon’s Favorite tractors) AND Black (I am sure something else that has to do with Jon!)

I am a big fan of all these colors too - not just Jon BUT that may be why we work so well together.

The date is 5 June 2010 and the ceremony will be at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Tabor, SD! Repecption to follow at Beseda Hall!
